![]() It's still a nice, easy drinking beer that would be great for warm weather, but I think of it as more of an American wheat. There's no hefeweizen yeast character - none in the aroma, and none in the flavor. Now, there is a problem with this beer for me in that it's not really a hefeweizen. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and gently crisp and then smooth. A low-level bitterness balances it and it finishes mainly dry with some fruitiness lingering. It's quite nice with just a touch of sweetness and a hint of tartness, and it's definitely not overdone. Cherry lambic is a type of beer that is brewed using cherries and aged in oak barrels. Moving forward, the apricot carries into the flavor as well, and there's some light wheat malt to it. Cerise, and Harpoon Brewery UFO Apricadabra. When a beer is a little off I'd say it probably has more to do with how much the brewer used, and when, than it does with the flavoring itself. ![]() so, no, it's not natural but that doesn't bother me as long as it's good, and flavorings have gotten so much better in the past decade that they're usually excellent. There's some apricot in the aroma, seemingly natural, but let's check the label.
